What is Raanmeva?

“रानमेवा” broadly refers to edible fruits and other naturally occurring foods gathered from forests and uncultivated landscapes. A botanical survey of Mulshi documented 108 wild edible fruit species and recorded their traditional use by local communities.

Its ripe fruit can be eaten fresh and used for juice, while the unripe fruit is traditionally used for pickles.
