Panshet Lake, also known as Tanajisagar Dam, is a major reservoir in the Pune region, situated in the Western Ghats. The dam is built on the Ambi River and is surrounded by green hills, valleys and scenic countryside.

The reservoir is known for its peaceful landscape and is a popular destination for visitors looking for nature, photography and outdoor recreation. The monsoon season transforms the surrounding hills into a lush green landscape, making the journey to the reservoir particularly scenic.

Panshet is also an important part of Pune’s water-supply system. Maharashtra Tourism highlights the dam’s scenic Western Ghats setting and its proximity to other reservoirs including Varasgaon, Temghar and Khadakwasla
