Temghar Dam & Temghar Lake form a scenic reservoir landscape in Mulshi taluka of Pune district. The dam is located amid the hills of the Western Ghats and provides an attractive setting for visitors interested in nature, photography and monsoon landscapes.
The reservoir is surrounded by rolling green hills, forested slopes and rural landscapes. During the monsoon and post-monsoon seasons, the area becomes particularly scenic, with fresh greenery and water-filled valleys.
Temghar Dam was completed in 2000 and is associated with the Mutha River system. The surrounding landscape provides a quieter alternative to some of Pune’s more heavily visited recreational areas. Visitors should remain in permitted areas and follow local safety instructions around the dam and reservoir.
