Mulshi Dam & Mulshi Lake are among the prominent scenic attractions of the Mulshi region in Pune district. The dam is built on the Mula River and creates the expansive Mulshi reservoir, surrounded by the green hills and valleys of the Sahyadri range.
The landscape is especially attractive during and after the monsoon, when the surrounding hills become lush green and the reservoir reflects the dramatic Western Ghats scenery. The area offers opportunities for scenic drives, landscape photography, nature viewing and peaceful time beside the reservoir.
Mulshi Dam is also associated with Tata Power’s hydroelectric operations and forms an important part of the region’s water and energy landscape. Visitors should respect restricted dam areas and follow local safety instructions.
